We are a local, family-owned and operated shuttle and taxi service.
Our goal is to provide you with all the information you will need to make a good decision on your taxi & shuttle needs. Our rates are very competitive, and we are eager to meet you. We aim to give you such a wonderful shuttle & taxi ride that you will want to visit us every time you come to Fort Walton Beach and the beautiful Gulf Coast.
A-1 Shuttle & Taxi is based out of the Northwest Regional Airport located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. We serve the surrounding area. This includes Dothan, Alabama, Tallahassee, Sandestin, Niceville, Destin, Miramar Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, Pensacola, Florida. Even though this is our “home” base, we are always available for trips to further destinations, perhaps New Orleans, La., or Orlando, Fla. Just give us a call and we can discuss your trip; we will always do our best to serve your shuttle needs.
Michael: Owner/Driver
Michael Allen Baird moved to Florida after retiring as a social worker for the state of Michigan for 30 years. As a social worker he worked with Children Services. During those years he also raised six children of his own. This experience proves invaluable in meeting people and making people feel safe and at ease.
Michael has also worked in the security field. He was employed not only as a security guard for gated communities, but also worked at the Russian Space Center in Baikonu, Kazakhstan. Michael began A-1 Shuttle in early 2007.

Vicki: Owner/Driver
Michael and Vicki met in 2002. After become the best of friends, they eventually began dating, and in the fall of 2008, they were wed. Vicki’s work background is mostly in customer service. She previously owned retail stores and a trucking agency, as well as raising her own six children. Vicki now drives the second shuttle with Michael, and they make a great team. They are both great at making their passengers feel safe and secure.
